Default BJ II and GPS: Way out in left field

Has anyone else had the GPS in the BJII put them waaaay off course?
I live in Texas but the last few times I have tried to use the GPS in my truck, I was told I was in Missouri (by two different programs: Google maps and MS Live Search). I have had this issue when inside my house also. Now, I have also had my position be spot on in both cases (house and truck). At this point, not sure if at times I just have a poor view of the sky or what.
I do know that at one time, with an older Garmin receiver (not a SiRFIII chipset), I could not get a signal if I mounted the GPS in certain spots of the windshield, but with the new SiRFIII chipset, this shouldn't make a difference (also, the BJII is in direct view of the sky when mounted in the truck).

Thanks,
~Rob
