Default MPX200 worth using?

Its an old device and doesn't have Bluetooth or a camera, but is it worth using with WM2003 if you forego the BT and cam? They are very cheap used.

i have a MPx200 with Windows Mobile 2003 installed and it works very well. although it's not my primary cell phone, i still use it as a backup phone. if you can get by without BT and your cell service uses the 1900 band (in USA) and the phone price is right you might give it a try.. if, on the other hand, your cell service is migrating to the 850 band (e.g., Cingular) you might not get good reception. good luck!

I've been using an MPX200 on T-Mobile for about a year and upgraded it to WM2003. I really like the physical design. It's got a great display and the buttons are good for gaming. The only down side is the battery life and signal strength are both poor. The lack of bluetooth also doesn't help. It's a decent starter phone if you don't want to spend too much money.

I also have the MPX220 and STM5600. The phone I am carrying with me lately is the SMT5600. I think it's a great phone, with excellent battery life and signal strength. The display is great, but it is not good for gaming because of the multi-press button problem and a bad joystick. I like the MPX220 because of the flip design, but I am starting to appreciate the SMT5600 more. Also, the 1.3MP camera on the MPX220 is really crappy while the VGA camera on the SMT5600 is half-decent.

My 2 cents.
