T-Mobile Dash default call volume

I would seriously love to disable the jogger as it seems to trigger call volume changes when i hold the phone to my face (or hold it in general). Unfortunately, if I do so, the default call volume of as-low-as-possible means I can't hear 90% of what anybody is saying to me.

Is there a way to raise the default call volume?
