Default PIE Address Bar

Does anyone have any idea how to quickly clear the address bar in PIE? If I have surfed to any website and then choose address bar to type a new address in, the old (usually long) url is already populated. Hitting backspace over the entire line is a real pain.

If anyone has an insight it would be greatly appriciated.

Depends on the phone. On my older SP5m you could press and hold the back button and after a couple erased spots, it will clear the whole address bar. However, that doesn't work on my BlackJack. So it's all based on what the manufacturer has done.

Hmmm. On both my SP5m and my Blackjack, if I press and hold the back key the cursor is taken back to the colon after http. Note that this is the OS back key, not the qwerty baskspace key on the Blackjack.

If I dig back in the memory bank I believe my i600 behaved similarly.

Oh, maybe I've been pushing the wrong button on the BJ then? Cool.
