Default My SMT-5600....

I have recently begun another endevour into the SmartPhone world after my old MPx220 was stolen and i lost everything.

Now that I have recently picked up a Audiovox SMT-5600 I begin a new...

I have a few questions that I hope some1 would be able to answer.

I would like to know if this phone would be able to be upgraded to Windows Mobile 2005?
If so is their a difference between the SM version and the PPC version?

And I don't know what this is... but I have a pic of the about menu and is their a radio built in or is that for the IR that I have built into the phone? The MPx had the same thing just never knew WTF it was 4.

So far i'm finding this forum to be a great help... Thanks for ne help that i get

Audiovox has not announced any plans to upgrade this phone, and it is not expected that they will. In fact, no Smartphone OEM announced plans to upgrade devices.

Yes, there are a number of differences. The biggest of them is the touch screen support in PPC, which is not there on the SP side.

That's the radio as in AM/FM. That refers to the radio stack for the wireless radio. In other words; that's what talks to your carriers network and allows your phone to be a phone.
