Audiovox 5600 - routing audio to headset

On the Audiovox 5600, it seems from my googling that the only way to route Media Player audio from the phone to a bluetooth headset is through the BlueNote software. But it seems to be causing some problems.

Is there a built-in way to listen to audio programming through a Bluetooth headset?

yea, that'd be awesome for biking. i tried doing that today with some software of my own and ended up hearing audio through both the bluetooth headset and the phone speaker simultaneously using microsoft's PlaySound() API. no idea how to do this with media player or how to disable the phone speaker.
