Default MPX 220 Shutter Click!!!

Could someone please tell me if they know if it is possible to turn off the shutter release sound on the MPX220?

I agree with Kris Kumar in that it would help to steady the hand when taking shots, but also would DEFINITELY want the feature to be switch off-able!!!

Many thanks in advance.

I don't have a MPx220. On my C500 when you launch the Camera, click Menu / Options / General, and then put a checkmark besides "Disable Shutter Sound". Is this not an option on the MPx220?

Hmm...did you try calling motorola?? I'm sure they'd be able to give you a quick and easy solution.

Just off hand, I'd be willing to bet there isn't one. New Jersey, for example, wants to pass a law requiring an audible notification on camera phones to stop surreptitious shutterbugging.

I'd be willing to bet Motorola already thought of that...
