I just installed the 1.43 ROM onto my phone, and found you can finally change the device name in the phone settings. This really isn't a big deal, but I was surprised when I found it.

I was thinking the same thing... I hope "real" issues where addressed.

The 1.43 ROM isn't official. It's the one floating around on HoFo, right? I wonder if it was leaked from Moto, or if someone hacked it up themselves. If it's the latter, I can see why neat little features like changing the device name are in it.

I don't think it was hacked because you can get it from Moto on-line update tool.

The fixed the Bluetooth file transfer issues, camera performacne is better, voice recorder is much better and the phone runs quicker.

Memory 'leak' issues seem to be resolved also.

I used the updater from an earlier ROM update. With that it found the 1.43.

Oh, Ok. Sorry. There's another ROM floating around on the net now. But it's not from the Moto site. It was pulled from a Chinese website or something.

There's too many ROM updates for this phone. I can't keep track of them any more! :lol:
