Send a message via ICQ to Mark R Penn Send a message via AIM to Mark R Penn Send a message via MSN to Mark R Penn Send a message via Yahoo to Mark R Penn

Very true. I never send mails via Activesync (if I need to write a mail on the road, I need to send it then as well, via GPRS, if it can wait 'till I get back to my desk to be sent, it can wait 'till then to be written as well!), so it's not a problem for me, but anyone who does should probably use your "5 day autoarchive" method instead.

What I really need now is the same thing in reverse. I am still totally p'd off with Microsoft for making it impossible to get messages I send, via a POP3 service, onto my desktop, without e-mailing myself. They don't even make it possible for me to set up a default BCC, so that I don't have to remember.

I don't consider that a good reason. I'd much rather have the freedom to work on draft email messages on a Pocket PC or Desktop computer by syncing the drafts folder (or the better way: transfering messages selectively between desktop/PDA). If only Windows CE Inbox Transfer would work with Pocket PC 2002!!!
I agree!! Maybe the #1 most important feature that I THOUGHT I would be getting with a Pocket PC is the ability to start drafts of e-mails on my PPC and be able to have them drop in the Outlook Drafts folder via ActiveSync. Sooo often I am out and about and I think of e-mails I need to write and that would be an incredibly valuable feature. I don't give a darn about formatting. I send all my e-mails in plain text anyway.

Ed or someone else, is there a possible workaround you can recommend??

Czer, when I create a draft email while traveling, I move the email to the Outbox (either by hitting the Send button, or using the context option Move To..) so that the note will transfer to the PC during the next synch. The trick is to make sure that Outlook on the PC will not try to send the note immediately upon synch. I have my send/receive options set to send every 30 minutes, which allows me time after the synch to work with the email. I move the note out of the Outbox on the PC and place it in the draft folder, and then continue working on the email as normal.
Bit of a roundabout process, but it does allow me to synch/use emails that I start while disconnected from the PC. But you are right...seems pretty silly that MS failed to apply synch logic to the Draft folder.
Hope that helps
Cheers
