I have a Linksys CF 802.11b adapter I use with my PPC. I've been trying to find an adatper that will connect type 2 CF to PCMCIA so I can use it with my laptop, too (there are drivers). The only ones I've found so far are for Type 1 CF. Do CF Type 2 to PCMCIA models exist?

Will you explain this in your article.
I have switched my connection to 802.11b ad hoc on both devices, put them on the same channel, changed my connection to a work connection. I cannot sync.
Here's a link to an article on configuring an ad hoc connection.

Default can connect as guest only

Anyone found a solution to this problem that I have now, too?

I am having a similar problem, but in my case I am using 2 iPAQs, P2P ad hoc mode. I am not using access points because I am using them outdoors.
I have also switched my settings to same channel, changed my connection to work settings. but cannot sync. Please help.

If you are using WinXP on your laptop, use the bridging feature between your wired and wireless connection. Then add a local ad-hoc connection profile to your available connections for your wireless card. You may have to explicitly disconnect from your access point and connect to the peer to peer connection instead.
