The XDA/MDA III (using GSM/GPRS, also known as the HTC "Blue Angel") will ship with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, along with an integrated thumbboard. Interestingly, it will support seamless roaming between GPRS and Wi-Fi networks. Arne over at PPCW details the wireless features of the device and shows some cool screenshots.

I'm curious how the iPAQ 6315 will support GPRS/Wi-Fi roaming, as well. Incidentally, Arne has some good comparison shots between the Blue Angel and the MPx here.

Over at howardforums and pdaphonehome, some have reviewed the 6315 and the roaming abilities, saying it was seamless and worked correctly.

I heard all this rumor talk on this forum about this device coming to us as the Daxian Cu928, in CDMA format? What is the deal with GSM now?

I hope I won't be disappointed in Sprint again?

It really ticks me off that manufacturers don't make these devices both ways!

The HTC OEM device known as the "Harrier" is indeed a CDMA version with essentially the same physical properties, and is rumored to be carried sometime in the near future by Sprint and Verizon, with one major catch: apparently, there will be no integrated Wi-Fi. It's mitigable, I guess, considering that 1xRTT is pretty decently fast.

Do you all think it is worth it to just switch over to GSM since most of the cool stuff goes there it seems? I know Sprint has a faster network, but it sucks waiting for a good device? By the time a MDA IV comes around to Sprint it will be 2 years or more!
