After some initial intrigue, I gave it a visit. It had trouble with many favicons and just showed them as smiley faces. It had short descriptions of each icon, but I had trouble navigating through the descriptions without actually going to the site.

A neat idea, but I don't know if it is practical.

and I agree the smileys are not clear. the guy said it's a beta, maybe this is a bug... I'll keep using it for the next couple of days as my search

I think the smileys present sites that don't have favicon, actually i like this search, it's fun and colorful.
