Thoughts I'd just add that with my *lowly* Windows 2003 phone I was also able to use this option as well using the provided link. For others that try this, I don't know why, but it maps the fast up-down to the *-# respectively instead of the 3-# as noted by the author's web site.

Great! I also learned how to application unlock my Qtek 8310 (couldn't figure out why it wouldn't let me create the key - until I found the RegEditSTG program and how to edit the security values).

How do you set 0 and # to change the display modes. That will be so useful.

These tips are wonderful.

encece posted a long list of different key values on the other page. Create a string value and name it to match the number code for a key. Set the value to 1 or 2 (for up and down). 8)

Sorry Mike I dont get this. How do I know what to put in the string value.

Basically I want to change the *, 0 and # buttons to switch between viewing modes. A previous poster has done it but I am not sure what I have to put to call those views. I can see which key codes to use. I basically need 48 and 119 Star (*)
and 120 Pound/Sharp (#) but how do I make them call that menu option.

Hey stuartforrest, I believe this is what you are looking for:

• Key pad button * (Value name: 119 ) -> Single Column (DWORD value: 11)
• Key pad button 0 (Value name: 48 ) -> Default (DWORD value: 9)
• Key pad button # (Value name: 120 ) -> Desktop (DWORD value: 10)

DWORD value 10 is for Desktop mode, 9 is for Default and 11 is for Single Column. Feel free to swap the DWORD values between the key pad value names, if you don't like the current *, 0, # assignments. ;-)

Default Mapping Keys in Outlook?

Is there a way to map keys in Outlook so that one may have the page-up and page-down functionality in Outlook as well as in IE? I'd also like to configure some buttons to delete, reply, and forward emails, and to send/receive.

Daryl
