Default InTheHand Releases WindowsMobile In The Hand APIs

http://www.inthehand.com/

"To co-incide with Microsofts announcement today of Windows Mobile 5.0 and it's new managed APIs, In The Hand Ltd is proud to announce the community preview of WindowsMobile In The Hand, a set of APIs for all generations of Windows Mobile specifically to provide a matching set of APIs for prior versions of Windows Mobile and to complement our existing Pocket Outlook library, and also to add some new managed functionality for Windows Mobile 5.0 specific APIs such as GPS."

InTheHand is run by our very own Peter Foot, but since he's too humble to post on his own stuff I thought I'd handle it. ;-) A few of the APIs being offered:

• InTheHand.Interop - Latest version of our P/Invoke and COM Interop library
• InTheHand.WindowsMobile.Configuration - Managed configuration manager for Pocket PC Phone Edition and Smartphone devices
• InTheHand.WindowsMobile.Forms - General device and forms helpers.

You can view the documentation or download the preview.

Wow! 8) Looks like developers won't have to wait for .NETCF 2.0 or WM 5.0.

I have used the PocketOutlook class library and am pretty pleased with it. I am sure the newer ones are equally powerful. I see that the new class libraries enable GPS, telephony and status functions too. 8O
