They have WM5 running on the HTC Universal, and the Samsung i300. Otherwise, they haven't displayed another phone running the OS, yet. :-( And there's no mention of updates. I don't expect that they will cover that. It's really up to the operator/manufacturer.
I wouldn't hold your breath for updates. As I seem to recall the WM5 memory footprint is pretty big, probably bigger than most existing smartphones can handle. I would guess we are looking at a jump similar to between Smartphone 2002 (ce 3.0) and 2003(ce 4.2)

It's a great presentation. However, I think Bill did a ok job. It's clear the other presenters had much more rehearsal time, energy, and enthusiasm.
