Default Speed Dial to SIM Contact?

I am unable to add speed dial to my SIM contacts on my O2 xPhone. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Not sure if you can Add Speed Dial like the one available for Contacts.

However, for SIM contacts, you can Press the SIM contact position number followed by # key. And the phone will prompt you if you wish to dial the SIM contact.

So lets say you have 15 contacts on your SIM. And you want to call entry 11.

You will dial 11# and you will see a prompt. Hit yes and the phone will dial the number.

But is that really faster? I know I would have problems remembering who was in each slot. I always spell out the first 3 characters of the first name of the person I'm calling. It's nice, fast and really easy.

I agree with you that filtering through the contacts is still the best way as its not humanly possible to remember the corresponding key for every contact. However, from Kris' info, atleast it was confirmed that speed dials can't be added to contacts like in Nokia phones.

But, I am not complaining...coz I love my O2 xphone !!! Its the best thing to have happened....
