I tried it just now and it works fine - although you do get an annoying message saying how much nicer it would be on a fully supported browser.

That is so annoying. Takes up about 10-15% of a PPC screen.

I'd imagine anyone that's "Gmail-ing" true-VGA style are mocking us right now. :P

It seems you need a Wifi or cable connection to get this to work. I tried it over t-mobile bluetooth with no success. Anyone else run into this one?

Seems to be working fine for me using Cingular and a bluetooth connection to my 4700. Even in MS WM VGA mode the banner at the top is unobtrusive. One of the reasons I can't seem to break myself of the habit of using a two device solution. As much as I love the PDA2K - VGA e-mail and Web Browsing are SO much better in VGA.

I sure wish HTC and Cingular would come together to announce US support for the MDA IV. That is my new lustworthy device.

Anyone have any success with sending attatchments?

When trying to in PIE, there aren't any buttons to browse for a file to attatch.

Can't get to my inbox under Netfront to see if it has the same problem :T

No, I don't get the browse button for attachments within PIE either. However, I can access GMail with Netfront, and low and behold Netfront provides the Browse button. I am able to attach files for sending using Netfront 3.1 on my PDA2K.

Don't know why PIE doesn't display it. I typically usine WebIS mail when sending attachments so not a big issue to me, but you may want to report it to the GMail team.

I just reinstalled Netfront 3.1, and under the default settings I cannot get into gmail.

Mind sharing your browser's settings?

I also have webismail, and although I quite fancy it's full functionality, I prefer the layout scheme google uses with conversation grouping, and is why I am determined to get everything working under Netfront.

Thanks in advance.
