Default Belgariad vol.I ???

I've been having a hard time trying to find the David Eddings series, "The Belgariad" volume 1. Volume 2 seems to be available everywhere. This is one of my favorite fantasy series and I'd like to start with the first thee novels. Help!

As you say, Vol 2 is easy to find but I couldn't find Vol 1 either.

Yeah, I guess that I'm just curious. Did vol.1 exist at one time? Did they do something strange like release vol.2 first?

strange.

Unfortunately it is often only the more recent titles that are released, so that the first book in a series is neglected (which is daft).

Even with older series like the Belgariad this patchy coverage exists.

I am considering reading (or listening to) the "sequel" trilogy to "Enders Game" by Orson Scott Card, but the first book is not available as eBook or Audible book. The second two are (sigh).

I can't believe that they would do something like that! That's horrible! I could understand it if the book were filled with pictures, but... Other than someone who previously read the hardcopy version, who would purchase a vol.2 before reading the first one?
