Yeah, but the $99 zire is still a PDA with PalmOS on it. The volumes are inflated by it. For several quarters over the past few years HP alone has sold more in dollars than Palm has. Now that HP has PDAs in the $299-$399 range, I am not sure if that is true any longer though.

OT: Wouldn't it be great if a PPC OEM releases a game-centric model, as counterpart for Palm Tapwave's Zodiac. By game-centric I mean the control ergonomics, among other things.

With Tapwave covering this niche for PalmOS and Nokia's N-Gage representing the Symbian/cellular handset sector (both coming out this Oct, not to mention Sony's Playstation Portable handheld late next year), this might prove to be a growing niche?
