Agreed, it is butt-ugly.

Meh -- I really don't care if it's ugly -- if it has decent specs I'll buy it.

Same here. Does anyone know when Tmobile will roll out their 3G service in New York and what the cost for unlimited date will be?

Actually, I don't mind this design at all. The only disadvantage I see is that with the buttons are on the right-side of the device, that means that your right fingers are going to have to stretch a bit more to type on the QWERTY when the buttons are in the way. When I first saw this device, somehow it instantly reminded me of the Hiptop/Sidekick, and that's the design I think HTC is probably pushing. They probably want to keep the black/sleek devices more for WM/business and leave a more hiptop-like design with bright colours for Android.

Different markets - makes sense. The probably don't want their Android and WM devices eating away at each other.

Considering that Google is involved I am more concerned about the EULA than the device itself...

You know, it's kind of ugly but i think i might just get one. If anything, to play around with it and see if it is any good. I really need a new phone, the Blackjack was great but its been almost two years. I'm dying for a new toy.

I really want a HTC Touch Diamond but I want the Victor model that made it on Sprint and soon Verizon except I refuse to hop back onto a CDMA network because where I live everyone with Sprint and Verizon complains about reception all the time.

It is so frustrating to be a smartphone fan right now.
