Default AT&T and Triton - what happens to customers?

AT&T has apparently sold their business in the North Carolina area to Triton/Suncom. According to articles I've read, AT&T gets Triton's customers and emplyees in Virgina, and Triton gets AT&T's Raleigh/Durham business and customers.

Does anyone know what this means for customers? Can I get out of my contract early? What about my phone? Will I have to go buy a new phone if I choose to stay with Triton?

Who is Triton anyway???

Looks like they use AT&T's network. So I'm guessing that there will be no impact on your service, contract, or phone. But don't take my word on it. After all, I don't live in the US, and I have a hard time remembering what I did yesterday let alone all the different US Carriers and their networks.
