Good day folks,

Have had my Silver Slider II on my 3870 and lovin' life! Nice to be able to walk into Starbucks and check my e-mail

I've discovered though that I need a protective case that needs to be able to fit my 3870, Silver Slider II and possibly my SMC WiFi card.

With the recent review on 1910 Vaja cases, I decided to check them out. It was difficult to figure out which case would fit the configuration listed above. So I e-mailed the Vaja people. They told me that none of their cases would fit my configuration.

Is this true? They have cases that will fit a 3870 with a CF or PC Card pack. But would both of these cases be a little big due to the SSII's compact size?

I'd be open to other carrying cases. I'm a stickler for quality though and cheapy cases just won't due. I'm looking for leather and the Vaja's are so beautiful.

If someone could tell me what they did with a similar configuration, that would be great.

Check out Piel Frama, they make a model designed specifically for an iPAQ with a SS 2.

Personally I went with the PDAMotion $34.95 do-it yourself kit since I already had the CF sleeve. But I sure like Whitney Case!

The Whitney cases do not line up properly with the 3800/3900 series. I believe someone here did a review on this and posted some photos pointing this out.

Vaja use to have a Silver Slider that I used with the SS from PDAMotion, which I think is the same? If you plan on keeping your cards in the CF then they are correct and they won't work. With the flip tops you'd have to have it open then put your card in the CF and then remove it once you are done. I'll see if I can find it on their site, the one I used.

I know that they did make one at one point, but I emailed them as recently as a few months ago, and they wrote back that they did not at the present time, nor do they have any future plans to manufacture one at this point.

You guys are right not that I doubted but the only thing I could find on their site was in the outlet store for the SS.
