I consider the behavior 'not working.' I think that ThinkOutside considers the behavior 'acceptable', and there in lies the rub.

I'm using the registery fix for the time being, and that's ok. My complaint with the company isn't that a problem exists with the driver, it's that we have no evidence that they give a hoot about how it works in PPC2003.

The initial indication when Jason talked to these folks in June/July was that they were aware of it and were on it. In fact, I think maybe it was Jason who made them aware of the problem, it's in a thread here somewhere. But other people have gotten other indications from them as to whether or not this is a priority. I wouldn't have bought the keyboard if they hadn't told Jason they were working on a fix. And yes, I share responsibilty because I did in fact purchase the keyboard knowing there were driver issues, and I have definately learned.

But now look at what they posted on their home page on July 10th, snippets from a glowing review of the product with an h2210! That's irresponsible.

Jeff

No they don't. They have stated that it isn't designed for the 2003 OS and are working on it. I don't know where Dave got his but chances are, he used a 2002 driver, and as far as usage goes, it is a good keyboard. Why Dave thinks the XT is the best keyboard for the 2215 is beyond me when there is no driver designed for it. Dave also says

As you can see pictures do not do this keyboard justice.
:confused totally: I don't get that statement. "As you can see, pictures don't do it justice." No, how can I see that if I am only looking at the pictures?

Thinkoutside still says Davesipaq.com but they don't link any longer.

They do have 2k3 drivers, and they work relatively well. They should be here already, but they're not. Give them some time, I know they're working hard.

Worse than that, actually. Sometimes keys (including delete!) will stick and repeat endlessly. Sometimes the driver just stops working for no reason, requiring a soft reset. So while I want the driver yesterday, I want them to fix all that stuff first.

Has anyone heard anything lately regarding the driver? I know that rumor had it that it would be released mid-September. Doesn't anyone have an idea? Oh well, guess that I'll keep doing the reg hack until it is fixed.
