Default sigh...palm to pocket pc to palm...back again?

I had switched to pocket pc (AsusA730) after riding the learning curve for the most part I liked it. The problem was, I finally couldnt handle the instability and the power consumption of the device. I would use it very periodically throughout the day but would start getting very very irritating pop-up battery warnings after turning it on a few times. Second was the instability, the device would lock up ALL the time. I would be driving and try to look up a phone number.....CRASH. Then i have to wait for the thing to reboot.

I need a new PDA and am thinking of going back to Pocket PC. Is windows 2005 any more stable? The crashing is absolutely ridiculous. I would rather just get a calandar than have to wait 2 mins every time i wanna check my schedule.

I found that the fewer third-party apps I install, the better speed and stability is. The worst culprits are Today screen plugins. Killing them all was a revelation!
