Default Saving Contacts to PC

I am using a Verizon 6700 PDA. IS their a simple way to move my contact from the device to my home computer and save it into a word document? I do not want to overwrite my exsisting contacts, I just want to save them for a back-up in case I loose them from the device. Then would I be able to carrying them back over to the device just in case I did need to move them back? I do not see anywhere where the contact info is stored onto the device.

Thanks,

GLenn

Contacts are stored in a hidden database that is not normally accessible to users - there are software that can do that for you, but they cost the proverbial arm and a leg.

I'm not sure I get what you mean by saving contacts though - wouldn't it be simpler to just sync contacts with outlook and then backup the outlook data file?
