Default Reinstalling Outlook

My hard disk crashed and my most recent backup of Outlook is older then the data on my Axim x51. I have reinstalled Outlook on the new hard disk but have not synced the PC with my Axim yet because I want to make sure that the data on the Axim will not be erased. Does anyone know if the sync will do this or will it use the data file on the Axim and put it on the PC?

If you have sprite or SPB backup make a back up first. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

It should combine the data, but that is if your settings are correct. By default it combines the data but if you have it set to replace items on device with items n PC...Poof!

Combining data is the best option, but you'll run the risk of duplicate entries. I'd go ahead and do this, and get rid of the dups with a good Outlook de-duplicator program - believe it or not, there're quite a few of these apps.
