Default new 802.11 WLAN Update does not recognize my ipaq

when i try to install the WLAN 802.11 update for my ipaq 5455 with WM 2003, the app manager starts running, then it goes right to my list of programs without beginning the transfer. so what i did was take the ipaq off and see if the message "program will install the next time the ipaq is connected" message. instead i got" app can install if a mobile device is not installed".

i think the WLAN programs cant detect that my ipaq is already configured with activesync. does anyone else have that problem?
