How to Configure a Pocket PC Device to Access the Internet Through Another Computer That Is Running ICS
1) On the Pocket PC device, tap the Start menu, and then tap Settings.
2) Tap the connections tab, and then tap Network.
3) Tap the name of the adapter that you want to use for the Internet connection.
4) Perform one of the following tasks:
To use an Internet Protocol (IP) address that is assigned by the computer running ICS, tap Use Server-Assigned IP Address.
-or-
To manually assign an IP address, tap Use Specific IP Address, and then type the IP address, the subnet mask, and the default gateway for the device.
ICS automatically assigns the computer that is running this functionality the IP address 192.168.0.1. This address is the default gateway for all other devices that connect to the Internet by using ICS. You may assign an IP address to your device that is between the range of 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.254. However, you must be careful not to assign an IP address that is being used by another device. Use the subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
5) Tap the Name Servers tab.
If you are obtaining an IP address automatically (for example, by using the DHCP service of the ICS computer), make sure all the boxes are blank. If you manually assigned an IP address, type 192.168.0.1 in both the Primary DNS box and the Primary WINS box.
6) Tap OK, and then tap OK.
