If you meant Derek Ball - Barry Shilmover's "How to Do Everything with Your iPAQ Pocket PC", with all respect to the authors, it won't really have much useful info. Chapter 9 (Connect Wirelessly with Your iPAQ Pocket PC) only discusses using a proprietary card, the Novatel Wireless Merlin G100 Type II PCMCIA card, and doesn't even try to dive into PPC2k2's Connectivity.

Unfortunately, you need to dive into the depths of the Connectivity of WM2003(SE) if you really want to setup your equipment. It won't be very easy (for example, the article I've written on the subject - and, in general, PDA connectivity - has some 170k characters), but, fortunately, you can also read some tutorials that may make all this easier: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=1477 and http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=809 .
