Not entirely. They still sell Compaq Presarios and some Compaq servers too. I don't think anyone's quite sure what the heck HP is doing in branding... :|

Yeah, they rebranded the HP Evo laptop line so that the model line is now called Compaq. I'm looking at an HP Compaq NC6000 laptop right now.

Whats funny is ipaq was also the name of a micro desktop pc that compaq put out a few years back.


When a buddy of mine asked me if I was going to buy an ipaq, I just stared at him like he was an idiot.

Little did I know he was talking about a PPC. :lol:

Actually, iPAQ referred to a line of "personal" devices, including that, a WinCE-based home Internet Access appliance, a personal music player, and or two other things apart from the Pocket PC.

HP and Compaq have always been infinitely confusing in their branding, and they've just gotten worse. I can't make heads or tails of their product naming now across-the-board.
