Default Hp 1910/15 with Total Remote

I was just wondering. I keep reading about the Total Remote needing a normal jack to work on a pda. I was thinking about buying the HP 1915 (europe), but it doesn't have a normal jack, but instead it has a minijack.

My question is: is it possible to use an adapter from 2.1mm to 3.5mm, or does the ir module require to be directly inserted into the jack?

If someone has an answer, please let me know. The remote thing will be a (big) part of my decision which ppc i am gonna get.

Thanks in advance.

Physically this would be fine. The only consideration is that the h19xx delivers a full audio range via the headphone jack which I'm sure it does.

I talked to one of the developers of the total remote and he has tried it with a Radioshack adapter and it worked fine. So i think the HP1915 is going to be my new pronto. Now if they only had some good skins...
