I have an A620 and I've used my alarm before when I was traveling. Heres how.

1. Make sure your volume is turned up.
2. Under settings then sound and notifications make sure the volume is set to "loud".
3. Also make sure “Programs and Nonfictions (alarms, reminders)” are checked too.
4. Select clock and tab to Alarms. Set the alarms to the desired times and you should be good to go.

You can change the alarm types by clicking on the "Bell". You can also add your own sounds. Put "wav" formatted files in your windows directory and they should appear in the selection menu.

Or

Buy Alarm software if you’re going to be using it a lot or relying on it heavily.

Hope this helps.

People have said the latest ROM update, .70.31 for the A620, and 1.00.31 for the A620bt fixes the alarm issues.

Since installing that update, I haven't missed an alarm yet.
