hi have an "oldie but a goodie " ipaq (3660) trying to use the ir link to use my phones modem dont know if its posable but would be cool if i could phone is a 3g lg u8120 as i said ipaq is 3660 it "sees" the phone and the phone "sees" it but they dont speak the same tongue it seems is there a ir drver i can get hold of or can i make one if so were do i start

First, welcome to the board

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Use the built-in modem in the mobile phone to dial up the Internet? It'll certainly work.

If, however, you want to transfer other stuff, that indeed won't work because of the PPC2k limitations (if you still have PPC2k on your PPC). Get Peacemaker from Conduits at http://www.conduits.com/products/peacemaker/ . There's a PPC2k-related article in PPCMag at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_archives...p5.htm?404=was .

cheers will try the links out see hoe i get on yes i am tring to use the inbuilt modem via ir link as i said ipaq sees the phone but displays "conecting to u81xx " (as the pc does before i install the lg software) hopefully the links you kindly offerd will sort out this


......... just got my ce dev kit software from microsoft time to boil up a large pot off coffee and see if i can do some basic apps (could be the subject for my next cry for help :lol: )
