If you want the "original state", you actually want a hard reset. Look on the bottom of the unit, on the left side; there's a little door. Open the door using the stylus, which should yield a switch inside. Flip the switch, wait about 30 seconds, and then flip the switch back. Your device's data should be erased (unless some Permanent PIM features were used).
