Default Cant sync - need USB driver

I have looked all over the web....does anybody know where I can find a USB driver for my i700 to sync with Windows XP?
I bought the i700 on eBay (only came with battery). I bought a retractable sync and charge cable. It sync'd fine on my work pc today (running Windows NT), but here at home my XP wont automatically sync.

HELP!

Thanks,
Ed

Install the latest ActiveSync (3.7.1) from www.pocketpc.com - it has the Samsung driver built-in.

Congrats on your purchase, by the way! A WM2003 upgrade was just released, which you might want to get.

Default out of sync

I do have Activesync 3.7.1 (Build 3244) already installed because I have used my ipaq 3670 for 2.5 years on this pc. IS there a newer 3.7.1 that has the Samsung driver that I should download?

Thanks for the tip on 2003....wow, an actual FREE upgrade to 2003 (but isnt this 2004? ;-)

Well, the very latest version of 3.7.1 is build 4034. Try installing that -- and if that doesn't work, PM me and I'll send you an explicit INF file (even though I haven't used it in a while, and you shouldn't have to).

Yeah, but Verizon is kinda slow.

Now if only I could get the 2003 upgrade to work...it upgraded the pda, but not phone. But that's for another thread!

Thanks again!

I've heard that reflashing frequently gets the phone part to update successfully. www.pdaphonehome.com has very active i700 forums, where people discuss this very problem.

Good luck!
