Default ASUS A716 Review

Hi all,
I just got my A716, and have done a preliminary review with plenty of photos and notes. It's still in progress but you can read what's there so far.

enjoy!

Nope, the buttons do seem to be spaced out quite a bit. There also seems to be enough room for a larger screen. But all-in-all it is a nice PPC and very well done.

Nice review - you should have submitted it to the news team. ;-) I'll see that it gets posted on...

No worries! In terms of adding to it, no problem at all, although we probably won't post on it again unless there's a lot of new content added and several months have passed. You might want to submit it to our links page so it will be added as a permanent resource. And I was serious about writing for our review team if you're interested. ;-)

OK, I posted it to the Links Suggestion area.
Let me know if theres anything else I need to do.

As far as other reviews go, we'll see...I usually dont have time for it but I was rather excited about the A716 and figured it deserved a review. Would you send me stuff to review? How does it work exactly?

Thanks-

I've got a question for the reviewer. The only thing that is discouraging me in this review is that you can't use bt and wifi at the same time. Is this going to affect me at all, in a practical way? And also, do you see a sort of yellow hue when you view the screen at different angles? (Like the lcd on the HP 4150)

there is some slight yellowish tint when viewed from acute angles. But it seems to be less yellow than the 4150's.
Not using WiFi or BT at the same time is not big deal. I only use BT for connectivity to my phone as a modem, and for beaming addresses etc, so I never need it at the same
time as WiFI. It depends on what you are using it for.

Guess you're right...i was thinking of peripherals you know, for instance bluetooth headphones just as an example, listening to streaming internet radio, you see my point? I wouldn't want to be in some odd situation and regret my purchase. Then again, are there more IR peripherals than bluetooth ones? Such as keyboards, headphones, etc...?
