My ROM is version 1.02.00.H dated 5/23/06. The ROM upgrade offered is dated 6/15/06. When I start the ROM update the 'From' shows "1.02.00.H (Windows CE 5.0)". The 'To' shows "1.02.00.H" (without the parenthetical Win CE 5.0). HP can't tell me if there's any difference between the two versions so what do you folks think? Is there any reason to upgrade the ROM if the version numbers are so nearly the same?

It sounds like the same update, though there's no harm in downloading and installing it. If it is newer, it will flash upgrade your device. If it's the same, it will mention that and should cease installation.
