Default Annoying Power Button function on 6315

I'm a previous owner of the Samsung i700, and recently purchased the 6315 (w/ipaq update). One issue that I find quite annoying on the 6315 is that when you press the power button while currently using the phone, the 6315 disconnects the call completely, instead of just turning off the display as the Samsung i700 did.

I know you can access the hp profiles menu to turn off the display by holding down the power button for several seconds, but is there ANY possible way to make it so that I can press the power button and have the display turn off by default, without disconnecting call? Are there any registry hacks that I can perform?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
