Default ActiveSync 3.6 Messed Up

I am unable to load new programs on my iPAQ 3835 because the add/remove window will not access the programs that are on my PPC. This is the message:

"Unable to access the mobile device information. Please reconnect and try again"

I've reinstalled ActiveSync to no avail. I've soft booted and even hard booted my PPC with no luck. Got any ideas? HELP!!!

Have you tried going back to version 3.5? Some people have had problems with 3.6 but do not have them in the earlier version.

Default Works now with 3.5

Blazing Saddles:

Thanks so much for suggesting the older version. Yes, it now works. I really wish that they would get the ActiveSync fixed in the next go around. I appreciate your help.

Default Problems with synchronization

I read problems with ActiveSync 3.6. Has anyone have problems when using AS 3.6 and Outlook 2002? About 4 days ago I notice that I can't edit appointments in my PDA and when trying it locks up. I followed all the instructions provided by HP with no results. I am thinking of downgrading to Outlook 2000 as the problems stated with 2002. Any comments?

I have Outlook 2002 and like it a lot better than the Outlook 2000 version. The problem is probably with ActiveSync. Since my problems I have been hearing all sorts of unhappiness with ActiveSync. Hope they get it fixed in the next release.
