Default AARRRGGHH!!......Update sending me crazy!...Please help

I'm trying my Loox to P22452-P929-V152 version firmware, but I'm having some problems, i'm not sure if they are releated to my PC having problems.

The USB connection is hit and miss at best, somtimes it finds the Loox when attached to the PC other times it takes a whole load of messing around with Mrouter/Loox settings to get it connected...there is no logical reason for this...the only thing I can think of is the fact that I have a SE P800/Nokia 7650,3650 and 9210i, a Palm and the Loox all sharing the Serial and USB ports on the machine, but only the Loox is plugged into the USB port?

This is the screen I am managing to get to, but I've held the FSC Menu button and the Calender button down whilst performing a general reset, and all I get is a dead screen with the battery charge flashing LED...I've held it for ages and nothing happens the PC doesn't ever find a connection with the Loox.

This is getting bloody annoying now I'm currently using Revision Level: V102. Is there much difference between V152 and V102?...should I just leave it be?

The PCU Firmware version is 1a15??....not sure how upto date this is.

I've also downloaded the latest driver version, but have no idea what to do with the files downloaded .

Any help with this would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,

Jordan

Installing the ROM update can be tricky - there are a number of tips you can try - rather than repeat them all here you can read them here.

BTW- there is a firmware update as well - to version 1A18 - download it here. You may as well update both at the same time.

The ROM you currently have - v.102 - is the original. v.152 is the second ROM update to have been released (so you've missed one). I would strongly recommend you install v.152, as well as the new firmware, as they improve/fix a number of issues.[/url]

There doesn't appear to be a read me file with that, so i was wondering Duncan if you can explain briefly what issues it addresses and wether it is a ROM or RAM update (can't tell from the package).
I just flashed mine with ROM 2.02, so i don't really want to flash it again and go through the pain of reinstalling everything (you should see my list) uppydogeyes: if it's not really necessary...
thnx, moaske
