Default Screen on the i600

Anyone who's seen the i600, can you let us know about the screen that Samsung has used. Is it more like the SPV or the Tanager, or perhaps something else that we're familiar with.

TIA,

Al

It was definitely a vibrant screen... I didn't get a chance to compare them in detail but its certainly on par with the Tanager. The fact that its a clamshell also means that they dont need such a thick layer of protective plastic over the screen which will also benefit the display quality.

Thanks Robert. More good news, but unfortunately it doesn't make it any easier to wait patiently.

It's a pretty amazing screen. I've been pretty impressed with the color quality and the brightness - just as impressed as I was with the i700, if not more so - and I thought the i700 had a great display.

I currently have the i700 PPC-PE.

Although the screen is terriffic indoors. It is terrible outdoors. I hope the i600 is not the same.

You're right. The i700 was crummy outdoors. =/
