Are you using the extended battery? How about watching movies could you get through a two hour movie with the drive your using?

I've never watched a movie to the end, but I did for about an hour and the battery was almost half drained by then. That's with the external Speaker. I'll do a test here at work watching a 2 hour movie with bluetooth headphones, see if the battery lasts. I'll post in a few hours.

Thank you kozak. I read a real world test result where a user got 6 hours and 47 minutes watching movies using the 2200Mah battery and betaplayer with the microdrive option checked. It was a Hitachi 4GB microdrive.

Just did the test.

Dell X50v
Bluetooth Enabled with HP Bluetooth Stereo Headphones
Betaplayer 0.96 - Microdrive setting was not checked
Regular Battery
Lowest Brightness Setting
On a Hitachi 4GB Microdrive

1:26 is when the battery warning appeared.

So, didn't go through the whole movie, but I will check the Microdrive setting, see if it makes a difference. Would like to find out about that. So stay tuned.

Any word on pricing?

With 4 GB CF flash memory cards down around $300 (see Buy.com: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...5&loc=101&sp=1) and dropping quickly, for this new 6 GB Microdrive to be competitive it should be priced at under $250.

Yeah, I can't too excited about Microdrives that have anything less than 10GB with CF cards with similar memory capacities at a competitive price. I'd be more interested when these higher capacity microdrives appear in MP3 players

OK, did the test with the Microdrive setting enabled in Betaplayer.

This time the battery warning came on at 1:45 minutes. This would work for most movies then. The extended battery would double that time I guess.
