Not sure if carrying around 6-10 SD cards would be that normal...
Uhm, in this group
I wasn't suggesting that no one does this... only that it's not the typical scenario... my guess would be that probably less than 5% of all PPC users are carrying around this many cards.

If it were the typical scenario, we'd see a LOT more cases geared towards carrying 6-10 cards. As it is, the majority of storage card cases are normally capped between 2-4.

I'd have to disagree.
I have no problem with SD cases - the ones that come with SD's are cheap and very compact and small. The Vaja case at 5/8th" thick x 2-3/8" x 1-1/8" significantly increases the bulk needed to carry just two SD's and I already have a Vaja iVolution PDA Case for my iPaq 2210 which carries a spare SD. In addition it costs £29 plus P&P - so ... IMHO it is both overpriced and useless. I like Vaja cases - I have had 3 iVolution PDA cases and also have the iVod for my iPod - all excellent products, but - not this one!

I don't want to go back and forth on this any longer. I understand your arguments for not wanting one and yes this case is bulkier than the regular SD case. It's obviously not for everyone (I don't think I'll be purchasing one either).

But to say it's useless is a bit presumptuous IMO. There are already 2 people in this thread that have stated they would like to buy one... so obviously they serve some use even if they don't happen to fit your requirements.

Any users of other SD cases care to post links/info to/about their cases?

(other than ziplocs - I want a bit more protection than that. )

Well - you are entitled to your opinion, but heck so am I and frankly I take exception to being accused of being presumptuous, just because I am expressing my opinion that I find it useless, and it doesn't happen to match your own. Excuse me for opening my little mouth!

My apologies griph... my intent wasn't to say you are presumptuous. I probably won't buy this for the same reason you won't, it may be too bulky for my comfort and it is expensive considering its functionality.

But "bulky" and "expensive" are inherently subjective words whereas "useless" is not. So when I read posts describing this as "useless", I read that to be generalized for everyone as fact, which obviously it is not.

Just a misunderstanding.

Seriously...I use a snack size Ziploc. It works great and I haven't had a damaged SD card yet! (Perhaps "yet" is the key word).
