There isn't that much difference from the HTC touch pro and AT&T Fuze. Im actually quite disappointed that AT&T has not made an attempt to customize the pocket pc like Sprint did. Not that there was a whole lot of changes to begin with.

*cough* glossy backcover

I called HTC USA and they informed me that TV-OUT feature is disabled in Fuze. Too bad.

I really only see 3 significant differences (for what I use). Video Calling, very nice feature but only good if the other person has a compatible phone set up. TouchFlo, again a very nice feature, but I really don't mind touching buttons instead of scrolling, or whatever it's called. The last difference I see is memory. And we can all buy storage. I'm not using the 8G's I have so having it be compatible to 32G I just don't need. As for the $300 for a Fuze or $200 for a Tilt...well, it's not a $100 difference for me. I already own a Tilt, that's a sunk cost. For me to get a Fuze I would have to sink $300 and for those features, it's not worth it.

(Note: NOT trying to be sarcastic here - am really just INQUIRING!)

Of what practical use is TV-Out on a product like the Fuze?

Is that simply for watching "U-tube" type video, or is there an actual business use? ie: would you expect the Fuze to be able to store business presentations? AND be able to manipulate them well enough to useful in a meeting?

What are odds your client would have a TV available?

Sorry if these are UNinformed questions, but have never missed having Video Out, nor even THOUGHT of it as being a 'worthwhile feature' (as in "Gee, I WISH my PPC / Phone did THAT!")

Yes, that is a different situation, and have read a number of posts - and at least one review - that suggest current Tilt owners might as well stand pat.

Am THINKING about getting a new phone & as my Axim is fairly old - at least in Computer Years - and is starting to show some wear & tear, have been debating the wisdom of moving to a Combo Unit: Tilt, Epix, Fuze, Blackberry, etc.

Alas, none of these is "perfect" - but one can keep hoping....

One of major selling points for the Fuze would be the VGA screen.

A major ?? is The Keyboard: does it provide enough function to warrant the extra bulk?
And WHY does it NOT "tilt?" - was there some flaw to the Tilt's tilting keyboard?? Prone to breakage? Simply too complex / expensive?

I don't have a tilt at the moment, so I am coming at this from a different perspective. However, I think the additional RAM/ROM, CPU power, hardware accelerated graphics (that work), and high resolution screen make it worthwile upgrade to many. In addition, I understand the base OS has been tweaked to be more finger friendly beyond just the Touchflo today screen replacement.

Some of those techs do not know what they are talking about when it comes to outside software.

Two reasons for wanting TV-Out feature.
1) I do powerpoint presentations for my students frequently in a small group. When, I want to look up some information from my ppt, I can just take out my pda phone and see.
2) It helps to show photos and some videos and even animations I created with Phatpad to the students (medical).
I hope I clarified myself.
BTW, I noticed that there is a TV-OUT feature intact on AT&T Fuze contradicting HTC tech support comment. I may wait for Xperia x1a.

There is a comparison video on www.pocketnow.com I found out that Xperia also does not have TV-out feature. Xperia can show more real estate than Touch pro. I am confused now. I do not know if Touch HD would be a better replacement for my XDA Flame and Tilt combined.
