Default ac power adapter jack

As mentioned in the review, it is tough to get the plug from the IPAQ ac adapter to fit in the jack on the back of the keyboard. I made the decision to trim off the strain relief on the plug and it has made it much easier. I am going to take the chance that the cord will hold up without the strain relief.

That's a great idea! I've got several of those power cords laying around, so it'll be no great loss if doing the trimming does shorten the cord's lifespan. Thanks!

I'm on my 2nd XT, the 1st broke in a matter of just a few days and in the most brittle way as one of the extending metal stems came away from the plastic housing on the pocket pc mount - I went back to the O2 shop ready to play merry hell up about it being so fragile given the £70 price tag but they quickly responded with a replacement, it was in the warranty period after all. However, as I haven't been much of a heavy user I am dismayed to report that the 2nd one has now given up the ghost and seven keys have stopped working on the right hand side - I am reassured by iGO that this will be from opening and closing it, which wears out the ribbon connector - as I haven't used it everyday though, the time it has taken to fall into disrepair has left it outside the warranty period and the likelihood I will spend that amount again is a slim one.

Good while it lasted, but being caught on the hop with mobile hardware & peripherals is a major concern - it's meant to be mobile after all.....

You can always invest a whopping $3.95 in a Goamo SIP keyboard... that won't break. There's also the CooTek TouchPal or RipBoard, if you're into alternative layouts.
