Is this to say that one doesn't need Microsoft voice command on the device?
Based on the description, it sounds like VoiceSignal. It is the software on my i730 as well. You can change a setting to have it not confirm your request, eliminating the step of Yes/No confirmation.

Does anyone noticed that this headset doesn't have hardware volume adjustment!? While it works fine with SE phones, voice level is too low for PPC and SP since ability to adjust BT headset volume has been removed in latest ROM's. Correct me, if I am wrong.

I have the Motorola H700, but it never feels like it fits right (although it doesn't fall out when shaking my head), I'm just wondering how comfy the Sony is and how it looks when someone is wearing it.

Sure: Judie mentioned this very item in her review. It isn't that there is no volume adjustment, it's just that the adjustment is handled automatically by the electronics so the user can keep his or her hands on the wheel (or whatever). I use mine with a WM5 PPC 'phone edition (HTC Hermes) and it works very well indeed: Like Judie, I have experienced no problems at all with volume - never too quiet or too loud

One of the more interesting features of the headset is the automatic volume adjustment; the headset is able to tell when the earpiece's volume needs to be raised or lowered - there are no controls to manually adjust this function, and I never missed them.
This is not working i my case when I have connected to my qtek. See my earlier forum post on this topic.
