Thanks, Mike. So I should be able to use my 5600 power cords on this, if and when I find one.

Great review Mike. I have had mine about 2 weeks now and can confirm just about everything you have said. The only other comment I would add is that phone -voice- seems to have better reception and operation than either my MST5600 or Mpx220.

Also, I have been using the charger from my 5600 since the SP5m arrived with the plug adapter. Battery life seems very good too but I don't use Bluetooth or WiFi very often.

Good point. The general phone quality seems to be much improved over my previous devices.

Awesome review Mike! :-)

After reading your review, I can't wait till I can get my hands on the i-mate SP5 (not the SP5m but SP5). ;-) Or maybe the T-Mobile SDA. I hope I have something in my hands by Christmas.

A comment regarding the camera. Looks like the camera is improving. Definitely better than the MPx220. 1+ MegaPixel helps.

Yeah I'm thinking SP5 as well now (or the Qtek 8310). Now the 8310 has been pushed back to Jan 13th on expansys!

Great review. I would really be interested in hearing a little more about the Bluetooth (is it 1.2 or 1.1?) side of things, is it 1.2 or 1.1? How's the range? How does the OMAP850 handle video playback?

Nice Review.

I have never ever ever ever even opened a case that ever came with one of my smartphones. So I dont have that complaint. Maybe I could complain that none were ever worth opening.

Battery life for me seems to be double that of my old SMT-5600. I had to charge the SMT every day. This phone can go every two days. And that's with checking 2 email accounts ever 15 minutes.

I also almost never charge via AC. Usually always thru USB.

I have one cable at home and a Boxwave at work.

I still believe this is the best Smartphone ever!

Nice review, Mike.

I can understand your concern over the case. It looks like trash compared to the other one.

The old case was no award winner, but the new one is just so bad. I really wish Vaja would make something for Smartphones.
