Cool! Hope it works out well for you.

By the way, I'm not sure if you re-read my review sometime today, but I was told that current units no longer ship with the AC adapter. Just something to keep in mind before you make a purchase. If it doesn't bother you, definitely go for it.

There's also http://www.gpsmart.ca/ but a search on GlobalSat on their site returns nothing.

If you can't find a Canadian reseller, you can always try the buyGPSnow.com store that I linked to in my review. They ship worldwide.

Oh, and if you really do want an AC charger, it shouldn't be hard acquiring one from a local electronics store. The one I have has a 100-240V, 0.2A, 50-60Hz input and +5V, 1.2A output rating. Rough measurement: 4.0mm plug, but to be sure, you can always bring your unit to the store and try a few plugs and get the one that matches. However, if you intend to leave the unit in your car, then you could probably live off the car charger.

Nice review, can't believe they are getting 16 hours of life out of a 1300 mAh battery.

well, I never found the BT 328 - Most dealers choose to carry the newer hi end models.

BUT I was lucky enough to pick up a BT 359S last night for CA$120 (used) from someone locally. Nice price... now to get some GPS software for my ipaq!

A friend of mine just purchased that same unit. I had the opportunity to give it a test run. It's very nice.

I have a Pharos GPS which I love but the Parrot CK3300 bluetooth car kit with built in GPS looks like the way to go. Anyone tried this?

Default Why White? I think I have a good reason.

Nice report and excellent product. I have been putting my GlobalSat BT (older model) through a lot of hard outdoor conditions over the last two summers. The GPS is either on my clipboard or dashboard and the black case heats up and it kind of scares me that some damage will occur. A white/grey case would stay a lot cooler. I want to paint my unit white but I worry about degrading the GPS function of the unit.

Some of the previous replies indicate that the unit will work from the glove compartment - that really suprises me. I haven't even tried this because I notice lost/degraded signal when it is just on my car seat. If this is true, then the paint shouldn't hurt much.

Patrick
