Regarding the keyboard, I didn't find the KJAM keyboard to be particularly spectacular. I prefered the keyboard on my iPAQ 4355. Now that thumboard I was REALLY happy with.

I'm wondering if you have any lag in typing when low on memory? The 6700 would miss letters when typing on it!? That drove me crazy.
I've never seen that. Basically, the 700w is consistently fast until you get really low on memory with no applications running (e.g., the OS can't close applications to free up memory), and then it crawls to a halt -- that is, it crawls so slow I never get around to typing anything.
Fortunately, this isn't too common, but if that happens, soft-resetting seems to be your only option.
I just think it's amusing that Rafael gave up his K-JAM because "it wasn't powerful enough" then went to a JasJar, (I think a Jamin was in between there somewhere), then a 6700 and now a device that sports the following "cons" according to the review:
Ah, I get your point... sure, there's no debate that from a features standpoint the 700w is "lacking". I'm sure Raphael has to be the ultimate judge of what he needs, so I'm not going to speculate for him, but for me, I find that while I'd like some more features in the 700w, the set it provides is pretty decent, and the compromises make for a better "phone" experience, which I find important. Part 2 will help reinforce this concept when it goes up.
As it stands, I carry a 15" Powerbook with me and I'm in front of a computer whenever working, so my needs on a Pocket PC may vary from others. If you're looking to the 700w as a laptop replacement, I think it'd probably disappoint and the JasJar would have a better shot.

I guess that I would rather have that then the random resets of my 650
How long to you go before you have to soft reset (days)? Also, do you have many today plugins installed? I like the SPB ones (plus, weather GPRS monitor and diary) I know there isn't much space for them but the tabbed interface helps!

Figures that HP would ditch one of the few units they did a good job on.

Well, from the average user's perspective, I guess it would be similar: I don't watch memory that often -- every so often the device slows to a crawl, and then I have to soft reset. However, I've never had a random reset on the 700w or the JasJar, although some of my older devices (the i700 for instance) have crashed once in a blue moon.

I'd guess around once a week? Occasionally it's twice a week, occasionally less, but I don't think it's been worse than that. Still, I'd like it to be once every two weeks -- my most reliable Pocket PCs stuck closely to that behavior.

Nope, as I implied in the review, I don't have a single custom Today plugin installed. 8O I used to use Today plugins, but I found I don't really need them. I might install Pocket Plus again, though, now that my "out-of-the-box" review is over...

Lol yeah. The 4355 was a great handheld. Fast, Wifi and Bluetooth, excellent thumboard, very thin, and with the extended battery (which was not terribly thick) it lasted AGES!
HP really did something right with that one. That and the 4155, although I chose the 4355 because of the thumboard.
