Sorry, guys... I've been 'off the air' for a couple of days, so wasn't able to respond immediately.

With respect to audio quality...
a) As I pointed out in the article, using the BT stack and the audio profile that comes with the Dell X50v, the audio is terrible! If you use an AD2P profile or the supplied audio transmitter, the quality (from my perspective) is as good as 'wired' headphones plugged into the audio output jack on the Axim.
b) I tried plugging the audio transmitter into a number of devices -- tape recorders, radios, mp3 players, etc. and all worked just fine. The transmitter basically turns ANY audio device into BT enabled.
c) Farmer Ted -- that's the first time anyone's EVER compared me to Greg Brady, but I do see the resemblance. More often, I get compared to Bert Convy, but that's when I had bigger hair.
d) Re: Resco Radio -- basically, if the app produces output from the headphone jack, you can use the headphones with the Audio Transmitter with it.

The HP's have a terrible design (which it looks like Logitech recently rebranded for themselves) of a plastic band connecting the headphones which has cracked regardless of how careful I am with the HP's. Forget you have them on and lay down, pull a shirt over your head...whatever and they're cracked.

Did IOGear use a flexible material that won't break when you jog the headphones with a bicycle helmet or are they similar to HP's crappy design?
The material used on the headstrap of the headphones was a semi-rigid plastic with some flex to it. Since it came down over the ears and behind my head (around the neck), there was no real contact with the bike helmet, except where the helmet comes over the top of the ears. As I pointed out in the article, the design worked well, since the helmet held on the headphones nice and snug.
